Nintendo Wii - Excite Truck Removes Screen-Burn.
At last a computer game that is good for TVs.
It started a couple of weeks ago when some relatives visited and
brought their Nintendo Wii with them. Anyway my nine year old loved it.
And (more seriously) so did my other half. To cut a long story short we
now have a Wii and a selection of games to go with it.
I didn't think there would be any games for me but we got got "Excite Truck" with the package.
This game is absolutely nuclear charged. You race around various
terrains at extreme speeds and I think they should have called it
"Excite Rocket" because you seem to spend allot more time in the air
than on the road. The stunning visuals are extremely varied and
colorful. And the speed with witch they flash before you has no
comparison with any game I have ever played.
There is almost zero static imagery and what there is, is brief and white.
I was going to run my PixelProtector screen burn remover afterwards as
I do occasionally to keep my lovely Samsung looking like new, when I
realised that the game had done it for me. I normally run the
PixelProtector colour wash for three hours to get a perfect finish but
Excite Truck had done the job for me in 2 and a half.
OK so it is a bit extreme to buy a Wii just for image retention removal... but its a damn good excuse.
